BMW 430i

A black coupe with easy manners

The BMW 430i has the clean shape of a two-door coupe, but it is easy to live with in Dubai. The automatic transmission takes the work out of Downtown traffic, and the car feels composed when the road opens up on Sheikh Zayed Road. Its black finish looks particularly at home at a hotel valet or along Jumeirah Beach Road.

This is a coupe for someone who wants a more personal drive, not a car that makes every journey an event. Take a little care over speed bumps and tight parking entrances, as you would in any low-slung car.

Best enjoyed with a little room

The 430i suits a couple exploring the city, a solo visitor who enjoys driving, or a business traveller who would rather have a coupe than a larger saloon. It also makes sense for a relaxed run towards Al Qudra or a drive to Abu Dhabi, where there is time to settle in and enjoy the road.

There are four seats, though the two-door layout makes the rear seats better suited to occasional passengers than frequent group outings. For a family trip with lots of bags, a larger car would be the more practical choice.

What is under the bonnet

This black 430i has a 2.0L turbo I4 petrol engine producing 255 hp, paired with an automatic transmission. It is a four-seat, two-door coupe. That combination gives it a useful balance for Dubai: responsive when you want to move along, without making routine journeys feel demanding.
