Driving in Downtown
The district is laid out around Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, a slow, busy loop lined with cafés. Traffic is heaviest in the evening around the fountain shows and on weekends. Most hotels and the mall have valet parking, which is the easiest option with a wide car, and residential towers have their own visitor parking.
Which cars suit Downtown
Downtown is about arriving well. A Rolls-Royce or Mercedes-Maybach for a dinner at one of the tower restaurants, a convertible for an evening loop of the Boulevard, or a G-Class for a few days of shopping and sightseeing are the most requested. If you plan to head out of the city as well, Sheikh Zayed Road connects you to the Marina, Abu Dhabi and the Hatta road.
