What a budget car rental in Dubai really costs, which of our cars offer the best value, and simple ways to keep the total down.
Quick answer

What a cheap rental really costs
The daily price is only part of the picture. When you compare offers in Dubai, add up everything you will actually pay:
- The daily rental price, multiplied by the number of days.
- Deposit: none. There is no security deposit on any of our cars, so nothing is held on your card.
- Fuel: check the fuel policy for your rental; many cars are returned with the same fuel level they left with. Petrol prices in the UAE are set monthly.
- Salik tolls: Dubai's road tolls are charged per gate crossing, currently AED 6 plus VAT at peak times and AED 4 plus VAT at other times, and free late at night. They are added after the rental.
- Traffic and parking fines: these are always the driver's responsibility.
A very low headline price can hide high charges elsewhere, so ask for the total before you pay. We confirm the full price for your dates on WhatsApp before you commit.
Five ways to spend less
- Rent for longer. Weekly and monthly prices work out cheaper per day than single days; ask us for a quote.
- Choose a car that fits the trip. A Mazda CX-5 carries a family's luggage at the same price as a Mazda 6.
- Plan routes around Salik. Peak-hour crossings cost more, and some trips can avoid toll gates altogether.
- Park in paid bays and pay for the full time; Dubai parking fines add up quickly.
- Keep within speed limits. Camera fines are common and are passed on after the rental.
Value beyond economy
If you want more space or comfort without a luxury price, look at the seven-seat GMC Yukon from AED 446 a day, the Maserati Levante from AED 584 or a BMW 4 Series convertible from AED 572. For a cheaper taste of something sporty, the BMW M240i starts from AED 495 a day.
Economy car or a cheap SUV?
The Mazda 6 and Citroën C4 X are comfortable saloons with a proper boot, while the Mazda CX-5 sits higher and is easier to load with bags or a pushchair, at the same daily price. The Cadillac CT4 and XT4 cost a little more, need a driver aged 21 or over, and add a more premium cabin. If you mostly drive in the city, any of them will be easy to park in mall and residential car parks.
Who our economy cars suit
- Visitors who want to explore Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the east coast without paying taxi fares for every trip.
- New residents waiting for their own car, or for their UAE licence paperwork to be completed.
- Residents whose own car is in the garage for a service or repair.
- Younger drivers: several economy cars can be rented from age 18, which is not always the case with larger cars.
Whatever you choose, every car is automatic and comes with the same simple booking: one WhatsApp message with the car, your dates and where you want it delivered.
