Porsche Cayenne

Grey suits the setting

The grey Porsche Cayenne has a quieter presence than its badge might suggest. It looks right outside a hotel on the Palm, but it is just as useful when the day involves Downtown traffic and a stop at the shops. From behind the wheel, it feels substantial and composed rather than delicate. You can enjoy the response from the turbo V6 without having to plan your route around every speed bump.

Room for the whole plan

This is a sensible Porsche to choose when other people are coming along. The SUV body gives passengers proper space, while the five doors make getting in and out easier at busy Marina pick-up points. It suits a family visiting Dubai, a business trip with colleagues, or a longer stay where the car needs to handle ordinary errands as well as evenings out. The grey finish also works well for hotel arrivals without asking for attention.

Beyond the city

An Abu Dhabi visit or an afternoon around Dubai Hills fits the Cayenne's character. It is comfortable to spend time in, and its higher seating position is welcome when navigating unfamiliar streets and car parks. On faster roads, the automatic transmission and 348 hp give this SUV an assured, unhurried feel. It is a better choice for a mixed itinerary than for someone seeking a low sports car.
