Chevrolet Tahoe

Brown suits the bigger picture

The brown Chevrolet Tahoe makes its size feel considered rather than showy. It looks at home outside a Jumeirah hotel, but its appeal becomes clearer once everyone is aboard and the day involves more than one stop. The elevated seating position is welcome in Downtown traffic, while the automatic transmission keeps the drive straightforward when the roads get busy.

This is a substantial SUV, so allow a little more room when choosing a parking space or approaching a tight hotel entrance. On open stretches of Sheikh Zayed Road, it feels better suited to settling into a journey than darting through gaps.

Plans with people in them

The Tahoe is a sensible choice for a family visiting Dubai, a group heading out for a birthday meal, or an airport run where passengers matter as much as the destination. It also suits a longer drive to Abu Dhabi when you would rather travel together than split across cars.

If all the seats will be in use and everyone has luggage, think through the bags before setting off. The Tahoe is roomy in character, but passenger count and luggage needs should be considered together.

The details that matter

This Tahoe is a five-door, seven-seat SUV in brown, with a 5.3L V8 petrol engine producing 355 hp and an automatic transmission. Those are the useful facts behind its character: it has the space for a group and an engine that feels appropriate to a large SUV, without asking you to treat every drive like an occasion.
