McLaren 720S

A supercar that asks for attention

The McLaren 720S feels most at home when the road opens up. Its twin-turbo V8 responds quickly, and even an ordinary run along Sheikh Zayed Road calls for a measured right foot. In Downtown or Marina traffic, the automatic gearbox takes care of the shifting, but this is still a low, wide coupe. Take speed bumps slowly and give tight car park entrances a proper look before committing.

Where the 720S fits

This is a strong choice for a birthday, a photo or film shoot, or a stay built around enjoying the drive rather than carrying a group. Its shape looks particularly good outside a hotel or along Jumeirah Beach Road. An Abu Dhabi drive gives you more time to settle into the car, though the 720S remains a focused supercar, not a relaxed grand tourer.

The essentials, without the guesswork

The 720S is a petrol-powered, two-door coupe with two seats, an automatic transmission and a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 producing 710 hp. That layout makes the choice fairly clear: bring one passenger and pack with the limited luggage space of a supercar in mind. In Dubai’s heat, plan stops and parking as carefully as the route; this is a car to enjoy deliberately, not rush through crowded streets.

Arranging your time with it
