Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

A Mustang with a serious edge

The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is a muscle car that makes its intentions clear before you set off. Its supercharged V8 has an unmistakable presence, and the automatic transmission makes it straightforward to manage in Downtown traffic. Give it an open stretch of road and it feels much more at home, with strong, immediate response and a soundtrack that is hard to miss.

This is a performance coupe, not a quiet grand tourer. On Sheikh Zayed Road it feels purposeful and settled, but you will want to take speed bumps and steep parking entrances with care. It makes more sense for someone who enjoys the drive than someone looking for the softest possible ride.

Best enjoyed beyond the valet

A run towards Al Qudra gives you room to enjoy the GT500’s character without spending the whole outing in traffic. It also suits a birthday drive or a photo shoot where the car itself is part of the occasion. Pulling up at a hotel valet feels suitably dramatic, though its size and coupe doors call for a little thought in tighter parking spaces.

There are four seats, but the rear pair are better for shorter trips than a long day out with adults. For an airport run with passengers and luggage, a larger car would be the easier choice.

The details before you drive

The Shelby GT500 has a 5.2L supercharged V8 producing 760 hp, an automatic transmission and petrol power. It is a two-door coupe with four seats. Those figures tell you what sort of Mustang this is: substantial performance in a car that still has a recognisable, everyday driving position.

It is AED 1,102 per day, with insurance included. The minimum age is 21. There is no security deposit on this car. Delivery and pickup in Dubai are free, and you can ask us about weekly or monthly rates on WhatsApp. The car may be driven within the UAE only. Every rental includes 250 km per day.
